A Political Attack in the name of a Prayer
Rev Jared Cramer of Saint John's Episcopal Church attacks Ottawa County Commissioners
During the February 13, 2024, Ottawa County Board of Commissioner (OCBOC) meeting, the cover of Commissioner Roger Belknap’s laptop displayed a message that said “The War on Children.com.” TheWarOnChildren.com is a reference to a recently released documentary exposing “the ongoing battle for control of the next generation and their minds. The War on Children features whistleblowers, leftists caught on camera, survivors of child mutilation, trafficking victims, corporate executives exposing the plan to sexualize children, the creator of Libs of TikTok, Senator Rand Paul, Riley Gaines, Drag Performer, Pornhub’s Sex Ed Instructor, and many more.”
Commissioner Belknap’s message was communicated in protest to Saint John’s Episcopal Church Rev. Jared Cramer’s giving the board meeting invocation. Reverend Cramer is a sponsor of the Grand Haven Pride festival and leftist political activist. He regularly speaks in opposition to Ottawa Impact and spoke in favor of the Board of Light and Power Charter Change Coalition.
Cramer’s invocation was a political attack in the name of a prayer. He stated, “I pray for those who have been impacted by decisions of this board. I pray for families and households who are struggling because of reduced resources in the health department, especially those who will be more food insecure….”
Commissioner Belknap was not the only one who appeared to loath Cramer’s gimmick. Ottawa County resident Joel Studebaker gave public comment shortly after Cramer’s speech beginning, “Jesus asked us to pray like this; ‘Our father in heaven, may your name be kept holy; may your kingdom come soon; may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven;…” Although he never mentioned Cramer, Studebaker’s public comment appeared a direct rebuttal.
Studebaker continued, “Jesus did not take kindly to religious leaders who fleeced the sheep. He also does not take kindly to a lack of integrity. For example, in Ottawa we have something called the Ottawa Conservatives Pac where a bunch of people got together blatantly begging for Democrat votes because they know that Republicans won’t actually support them. We have Democrats publicly calling for crossover into our Republican primaries because we have an open primary system which is ripe for fraud.”
In this interview with Vote Common Good, What happened to my local Republican party? (21:00), current Ottawa County Commissioner Roger Bergman says, “I still had to run as a Republican, because otherwise I wouldn’t have made it. I still made it as a Republican, because in my situation, I’m well known, but there were a lot of people who crossed over that were D’s and Independents and voted for me. That’s the reason. I’m the only one that won. Everyone else lost.” It really is quite an admission that he feels he needs to trick voters into electing him and his policies.
After the meeting Commissioner Belknap was bombarded with hateful email messages because he exercised his freedom of speech by displaying a message on his personal laptop, and the main-stream media was busy spinning the story referring to the “far-right fundamentalist group Ottawa Impact,” as they do on a regular basis.
While the individuals who sent Commissioner Belknap hateful emails are also exercising their free speech, they are the ones that should be ashamed of themselves for having such low ethical standards in protecting kids from exploitation and abuse. The War on Children is real. Restore Ottawa has been writing about it for two years. Please take the time to watch the movie recommended by Commissioner Belknap that ties everything we have witnessed together.
