How much time did Brian Wheeler spend working for the Momentum Center while being paid by GHAPS?
While the above question is difficult to answer there is no doubt that the time was substantial. This is significant, because Brian Wheeler did not act on his own and make the decision to work for a non-profit organization he saw as important. Rather, both Brian Wheeler and Mary Jane Evink were offered by former Superintendent Andy Ingall as GHAPS partners to Anti-Racism Task Force at the Momentum Center. The Anti-Racism Task Force at the Momentum Center works to create anti-racist activists out of Grand Haven citizens.
GHAPS supported and paid for this working relationship.
Brian did a lot of technical support for the Anti-Racism Task Force which included uploading videos of their Anti-Racism Town Halls to the internet, editing videos, providing Momentum Center employees with access to GHAPS zoom accounts, instruction on using GHAPS zoom accounts, and trouble shooting problems. He purchased domain names for the Momentum Center’s store Just Goods and worked with Momentum Center employees to coordinate website development. He was a much-appreciated volunteer for the Momentum Center, paid for by GHAPS and our tax dollars.
Here are a few emails showing Brian’s working relationship with the Anti-Racism Task Force.
Although neither Brian Wheeler nor Andy Ingall currently work for GHAPS, Mary Jane Evink still does. How much time is she spending working on projects for the Anti-Racism Task Force while being paid by GHAPS? There is no doubt the current Superintendent Scott Grimes is aware of this working relationship…. And at least three board members are aware and in support of this decision.
This is a clear violation of board policy 1130 Conflict of Interest and all GHAPS personnel involved must be held accountable.
