The Anti-Racism Task Force used the GHAPS zoom account, and Brian Wheeler provided them with free technical support. They began using GHAPS zoom capabilities in October 2020 and continued at least until July 2021 when they started exploring options with greater capabilities. The following set of emails between Momentum Center Anti-Racism Task Force coordinator Barbara Lee VanHorssen and Brian Wheeler show Brian assisted the Momentum Center with the GHAPS zoom system, taught them how to use it, and resolved technical issues.
Zoom accounts are priced based on meeting participants, meeting length, capabilities etc. There are many options. Being a wealthy school district with enough money that nearly $1,000,000 can disappear unnoticed, GHAPS likely has a deluxe account with numerous capabilities that allows them to go over the 45 minutes, etc…… that costs money.
Remember Superintendent Andy Ingall volunteered both Mary Jane Evink and Brian Wheeler as partners from GHAPS for the Momentum Center. The Momentum Center proudly advertises their partnership with GHAPS. This working relationship in which GHAPS staff use their position to benefit an organization apart from the school district is a clear violation of board policy 1130 Conflict of Interest. This working relationship is still being supported by GHAPS leadership. Board members who condone this relationship, the current Superintendent Scott Grimes, and any other GHAPS employees with similar relationships should be held accountable for this violation.
