Led by the Momentum Center and Grand Haven Area Public Schools, the Grand Haven community is slowly being indoctrinated with the principles of Marxism. Several community leaders are passionate about social justice and have made a commitment to work on race and inclusion through programs that provide implicit bias, diversity and anti-racism training. Interestingly, these efforts are being portrayed as necessary because proponents believe Grand Haven citizens need to take responsibility to educate others to take action for equity. In essence, they believe what they are doing is good and will have positive outcomes for the community. What they don’t realize is that the concepts they are teaching are rooted in Marxism and in actuality are very destructive.
In the following email exchange, you can see how the ideals of the Momentum Center have been adopted by GHAPS and are being transferred to our children.
The anti-racism task force book list contains titles such as Slavery by Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to WWII by Douglas A Blackmon, Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome by Dr. Joy DeGruy, The Construction of Whiteness: An Interdisciplinary Analysis of Race Formation and the Meaning of a White Identity by David Roediger. It also recommends podcasts such as 1619, and articles such as Racism is a Public Health Crisis: Here’s How to Respond by Ruqaiijah Yearby.
Each of these books contain elements of Marxist teaching. They identify groups of people with common characteristics (usually race in the case of the Anti-Racism Task Force), then focus on unjust or privileged treatment people the said groups have received throughout history. Finally, they invoke an emotional response in the reader by focusing on unjust treatment, which is used to encourage the reader to become an activist to fight for justice. Here is the entire book list.
The above email exchange between leaders at these organizations is not unusual. In fact, they frequently exchange emails to plan anti-racism events such as the DIE Expo and anti-racism town hall meetings.
These are just a few examples of how GHAPS and the Anti-Racism Task Force have worked together to subtly push Marxist political ideology onto our community.
What’s the goal of all of these books and anti-racism lessons anyway? Marxism teachings have three common elements.
Identity; separate people based on common characteristics
Injustice; focus on unjust treatment the group has received
Activism; become active and fight for that group
Here’s a quote from a community member. “As someone who has spent 24 years in state government, I have seen plenty of diversity trainings, referred to as "implicit bias." After a few days of such training, I can say I am well trained in concepts that I still don't understand. From what I can tell though, you first note someone's color (label them immediately), then you respond based on how that color apparently views the world (because all people of a certain color apparently think exactly the same). Then you tailor your response accordingly.”
Focus on concepts such as this gained rapid traction during the Obama Presidency. Before Obama was elected, race relations in America were a non-issue. Americans elected Obama to the presidency with a 365 to 173 electoral college wipeout. But then the politics changed…
This video narrated by Larry Elder shows Obama both calming and stoking race division. Watching the calming speeches, it is easy to see why the country stood behind Obama and elected him president, and watching the stoking speeches does a lot to explain how we got to where we are today.

As Obama stoked the fire of race division, leadership at GHAPS increased their focus on concepts such as implicit bias, and diversity, inclusion and equity. Rather than reducing racial tensions, this approach has made race division worse than ever. Unfortunately, this is not recognized and local leaders are still insisting the community and the children in GHAPS focus on diversity, inclusion and equity.
Contrast this viewpoint with the brilliant economist Thomas Sowell, someone with 90 years of life experience.
Near the end of this compilation of video clips Thomas Sowell is asked about his education in Harlem. He says, “They taught us the English language, they taught us the standard academic subjects. They were not teaching us tree hugging. They were not teaching us how to use condoms. They were not teaching us to be victims, and they held us to the same standards that they held other kids to.”
In this video clip, Morgan Freeman is on record saying he doesn't want a black history month. His history is American history. When asked how we then fix racism he says, "Stop talking about it!"
What would happen if Grand Haven tried this approach? The other approach is clearly not working.
