Newly appointed Grand Haven School board member Krystal Boyd, has opened a new tavern in town that has become quite the Progressive hangout. While every elected official has the right to earn a living and spend their personal time engaging in causes they feel are worthy, the public should be aware just where this school board member stands. Her decisions affect our children, and the future of the Grand Haven Community.
Here is a list of left-wing extremist political organizations operating in Ottawa County.
They each have their own function, and are all connected.
While Progressive Lakeshore, Inclusive Ottawa County, and Ottawa Objects are Facebook groups, they have slightly different focuses. For example, Ottawa Objects was formed in response to the election of our new county commissioners. Ottawa Integrity is a local political action committee, whereas Vote Common Good is a national organization that endorses and trains candidates running for office. The Executive Director of PAC Ottawa Integrity, Kim Nagy, and Executive Director of Vote Common Good, Nick Brock, have joined forces in the creation of the Unifying Coalition of Ottawa County. Both are on its Steering Committee.
On their Facebook Page, Inclusive Ottawa says, “Believing in the value of diversity and equity within the community, Inclusive Ottawa County aims to encourage and uplift under-served community members by providing a safe place to gather and support one another through community events, connection to resources, and educational programs.”
Here are the qualifications for membership posted on the Ottawa Objects Facebook Page.
Here is guidance given to Ottawa Objects members for dealing with Ottawa Impact supporters (people with whom they disagree).
Here’s a fundraiser organized by Progressive Lakeshore to unseat the newly elected commissioners.
So, getting back to the Grand Haven School Board, here is how everything is tied together. The Unifying Coalition of Ottawa County announced on the Progressive Lakeshore Facebook Page that meetings will now be held at the Unicorn Tavern owned by Grand Haven School Board member Krystal Boyd.
Progressive Lakeshore recently announced that at the next meeting, the executive editor from the Holland Sentinel, Sarah Leach Dahlman, will be hosted.
Here’s a headline by Sarah Leach.
Here’s a post from Sarah Leach Dahlman in the Facebook group Ottawa Objects.
Unfortunately, Krystal Boyd is not the only Grand Haven School Board member who has aligned herself with these left-wing extremist political organizations. Nichol Stack, Christine Baker, Marc Eickholt, and Carl Treutler have all aligned themselves as well.
Here is Nichol Stack asking if she needs to RSVP to attend the Progressive Lakeshore events at the Unicorn.
Here is Christine Baker applauding a routine hit piece in the Holland Sentinel.
…. And here are the endorsement flyers from the November 2022 election.
Notice that Carl Treutler was not included in the endorsement……
… until candidate Tracey Nauta withdrew from the race.
So, to summarize, a school board member is hosting political PACS at her restaurant and cozying up to "investigative journalist" Sarah Leach from the local paper. In addition, school board members Nichol Stack, Marc Eickholt, Christine Baker, and Carl Treutler are aligned with these groups.
When these school board members were sworn in, they swore to uphold the Constitution, yet these progressive organizations do not seem to be champions of Constitutional values. Ottawa Impact, however, the organization that all of these organizations attack, exists to uphold Constitutional values.
How can we expect the board to uphold the rights of parents to direct the care and upbringing of their children with that level of connection?
