The Michigan Department of Education believes there are no physical differences that would give boys advantages when playing on girl’s sport teams. In addition, they believe students should use the restroom that aligns with their chosen gender. This short video – LGBTQ and Sports - was created from a series of training videos put together by the Michigan Department of Education. The series provides guidelines for schools dealing with LGBTQ students. This is highly concerning as policies based on these types of guidelines can put children across the country in dangerous situations.
A recent article from The Gateway Pundit, 80-Year-Old Woman Banned From Community Pool For Complaining About Cross-Dressing Man Watching Little Girls Undress In Locker Room, shows how policies similar to those recommended by the Michigan Department of Education can be terribly misguided. The 80 year-old woman, Julie Jaman, was a regular visitor to the YMCA for 35 years. She describes her experience and raises numerous questions to city council in this video.
These guidelines from the Michigan Department of Education put our children at an elevated risk. As parents is this risk acceptable to you, or do you think there are other solutions that may work better for ALL involved. Parents, grandparents, and citizens must not stay silent. Our nation’s children need help from all types of people to help ensure they are safe. Parent’s cannot fight this battle alone. Please share this information with friends and neighbors. Attend/speak at your school board meeting. Share this information on social media. Thank you!

The Michigan Department of Education assembled a team of experts called the MDE LGBTQ Student Project, who put together a series of trainings, recordings and resources to support LGBTQIA+ students. The videos provide numerous recommendations from The State of Michigan for schools and school personnel in relation to dealing with LGBTQ students.
The complete series of videos is called Pride in Diversity.
