On the Inclusive Ottawa County Facebook page they describe themselves as, “a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and uplifting the voices of historically-excluded community members. Our area of focus is in Ottawa County, MI. We serve the community through online and in-person engagement opportunities; providing resources with our #ResourceRooms (clothing, food, hygiene products and baby supplies); as well as providing opportunities for growth through skill building clubs (and classes soon to come) and educational opportunities.” You may have heard of them before, as Inclusive Ottawa County coordinates with other left-wing political organizations active in Ottawa County, and the individuals involved in these organizations greatly overlap.
Not satisfied with only offering the listed services above, Inclusive Ottawa County has ventured into recommending a sex education book for 10-14 year olds. As you would expect from such an organization, actual sex ed in this 432-page behemoth is secondary to its Social Justice motive. According to the book’s Amazon description, “In a bright graphic format featuring four dynamic middle schoolers, You Know, Sex grounds sex education in social justice, covering not only the big three of puberty—hormones, reproduction, and development—but also power, pleasure, and how to be a decent human being.”
The Inclusive Ottawa County social media post reads:
“Looking for an inclusive book for your kid to learn about bodies? Check out #YouKnowSex from the shelves of #TheVillageLibrary. This book is rated for ages 10-14 and is a great companion book for those who’s littles are just beginning puberty!”
Here are some photos from the book.
Continuing its tradition of constantly redefining words, the Left now brings forth a dizzying expansion of what ‘sex’ can mean. In the following picture, you can see that having sex can now mean anything from an actual sexual intercourse position, to sitting in front of a laptop, to looking someone straight in the eyes. Hmm, I’m sure this won’t confuse any 10 or 11-year-old.
Of course, it is never too early to try to push the society-wrecking systemic power grift on young kids and put its poisonous ideas in the forefront of their minds:

“I’m not sure this should be located in the Children’s picture book section of the Library. It talks about “measuring your wiener” shows a “male stripper” and various sexual positions. This just does not seem child appropriate to me and located next to books for 5 year olds.”
You can preview nearly half of the pages from the book here, and below you can see someone reading the book to young children.
The ideologically captured American Library Association features this book on their 2023 Rainbow Book List and it was the recipient of the 2023 Doug Wright Award for best book.
Non-profit groups rely on donations to do the work they do. Luckily for Inclusive Ottawa County, the Hudsonville Meijer Community gave them a $5,000 donation.
Rather than being a frank discussion of bodies and sex — which would be appropriate for the target age group — this book interweaves all facets of sexuality with an expansive in-your-face social justice agenda. It blurs the definition of what having sex means, and this passage seems to entice kids to experiment:
“When we’re learning about sex we can’t get the answers from someone else. Because those are someone else’s answers. We have to figure things out for ourselves. But we don’t do it alone. We learn through experience, with other people, and with other ideas.”
Inclusive Ottawa County and the Hudsonville Meijer organization should be ashamed for pushing this onto children.
