In the book Queer: A Graphic History, there's some talk of sex work being work. It's interesting because Mike Itkis, 2022 Congressional Candidate from New York, ran for a 2022 New York house seat on a "Sex Positive" campaign. One of his core issues was to make sex work legal. He even went so far as to have sex with a prostitute, video tape it, and release it publicly as part of his campaign to normalize prostitution. The same guy wants to enforce standards for online behavior for you.
In the 70s and 80s, the feminist’s movement was fighting over porn and prostitution. The people in favor of it were known as Sex Positive. Here's where things get crazy; in 1984 these fights led a woman named Gayle Rubin to write a paper called Thinking About Sex in which she advocates decriminalizing a bunch of sex laws including those penalizing 'relationships' of adults with the under aged. Gayle called this new idea Queer Theory, and she still teaches at the University of Michigan.
That’s right. Gayle came up with a crazy idea and it became a movement. Unfortunately, the movement she created is affecting our children today. Queer Theory is more often known by its offspring Gender Studies, and the ideas are prevalent in schools across America. Although school officials will never tell parents they are teaching Queer Theory or Critical Race Theory, many lessons are sprinkled with their foundational principles.
One foundational principle is normalizing ALL types of sexual behaviors and gender identities. In schools this is commonly shared under the guise of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. For example, the affirmation of transgender children is insisted upon by policies set forth by State Departments of Education and Teacher’s Unions. Some teachers in Grand Haven ask children their pronouns. Then they ask what pronouns would you like me to use in front of your parents? Affirmation is necessary for transgender children to believe they made a good choice. It makes them feel included and like they belong.
In legislatures there are now proposals to penalize parents who do not affirm their child's "chosen gender". Parents who love their children but also have the capacity to understand when their children are confused or being negatively influenced by society are being demonized for not going along with their child’s gender dysphoria. These laws are being used to incrementally remove parental rights and replace parents with the state.
Fortunately, we as a society still have a chance to reduce the impact of Gender Ideology teachings. Perhaps the most powerful thing that can be done is to simply not go along with the movement. Americans are already known for their great capacity to accept all people. We should continue to treat people with kindness, but ask questions. We should continue questioning and continue believing objective truth, and we should not be afraid to stand up for what we believe in.
